ronRon grew up in an Air Force family, living in seven different states and Guam, M.I., before graduating from Washington-Lee High School (Arlington, VA) in 1964. He attended Southwestern College in Winfield, KS, graduating in 1968 with a double major in History and Philosophy. In 1979 he earned a Masters of Public Administration from the University of West Florida.

Ron entered Air Force in September 1968. His thirty year maintenance and logistics career included deployments to both the Vietnam and Gulf Wars and command of one squadron and three logistics groups. He served overseas in Thailand, Saudi Arabia, England, Germany, and Italy. His final assignment was a Deputy Director of Logistics at AF Space Command headquarters in Peterson AFB, CO. He retired at the rank of colonel.

Then he worked four years for Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs. He re-retired to write and paint. In 2014 he published Living in the Spirit, a study of Romans. Several of his speculative fiction novels have won awards at writers’ conferences. His paintings have been judged into several national exhibitions. He sells enough paintings to pay expenses. Ron teaches Bible studies at Prevailing Word Ministries in Glen Allen, VA.

Ron married Treva in May 1969. They have two sons, Wendell and Eric.
