Book Review: “The Beast of Bledshire” by A. J. Abbiati

(Three Stars)

“In the end, the king sent away all those he cared for. Solitude was the one way he could ensure their safety.”

A pleasant short story set in Abbiati’s Fell’s Hollow universe. A self-contained story, but it makes more sense after reading Fell’s Hollow, or better if it had been woven in among the episodes which weave the tapestry of that book. Well-composed. A good read.

“Emotions slammed through Kretch, too many to process at once. Fair. Pain. Loss. Hate. The last was so strong, it nearly overcame him with its ferocity. The anger inside him howled.”
